With high priority email notifications update, G-Suite sends its customer, alerts of important emails that land in Gmail inbox on iOS devices. Leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities G-Suite identifies critical messages and helps users stay on top of employee and customer communication. To enable this feature, users need to select “high priority only” options from the notifications drop-down bar in the settings menu of your Gmail iOS app. Such a function helps easily categorize important emails, enhance collaboration and empower employees to work more efficiently. This feature will be soon available on Android devices.

#2 New desktop device reporting in the admin console:

Malware attack can result in data theft, account compromise and additional access to data. The new G-Suite feature endpoint verification provides improved visibility to admins into computers that are being used to access corporate data and critical business applications. Endpoint verification gathers information from chrome extensions and native apps on users devices and displays it as a report in admin console. A lightweight and easy solution for desktop and laptop device reporting, it empowers admins to maintain a strong security posture for their organization. Once set up it provides admins necessary device information including screen lock, disk encryption, and OS version.

#3 Google Mobile Management support for Hangouts Meet on iOS:

Currently G-Suite allows users to use the Hangouts Meet iOS app without installing Google’s MDM Device Policy. However, with new update users will be required to install device policy application for leveraging Hangouts Meet and accessing Gmail, Calendar, and other Google apps on their iOS devices. For users in domains with basic mobile device management, the device policy profile will be managed automatically on their iOS devices when they sign in to Hangouts Meet.
